Will it be cooler this summer?

March is usually the start of summer in the Philippines. Perhaps in the past decade or so, I have been observing that the summer is getting hotter each year. This afternoon the temperature reaches 31 degrees Celcius. Maybe almost the same or even a bit higher than last year, I'm not sure... but when I drove my bike, even though the sun was up and the sky is clear, it felt actually cooler. Does this mean that it would feel cooler this summer? I hope so.

I also observed that. My observations is maybe because there are lesser air pollution now so we have experienced cooler and cleaner air.

We have cleaner and cooler air because of the quarantine.

That is true. Since almost the whole world is in lockdown, few vehicles are on the road, few planes are flying. Some factories even are closed. So while the lockdown is in effect, there will be lesser pollution. Perhaps making the air cooler ... and cleaner...

In the current circumstances we feel cool. In our country temperature reach to 35 degrees but I feels like you when i am riding bike. As far as I am concerned the reason behind this is less pollution

I agree... the temperature may be high but it seems that the heat index is lower. It even rained here last night...

I wouldn't bank on it with global warming and all.

Perhaps. We will see in the coming days. The prediction says high temperature though, but I wonder about the heat index. Last year they were pretty high here in the Philippines.

Less pollution means clear skies and less humidity, the sensation is of a cooler temperature.

I think our Australian summers have gradually been getting hotter too.

@jrlcentral It's hard to say. I think it was overall but we spent three weeks of our Australian summer in Nepal.
