Slowly over time, the corona virus pandemic has changed all around me. Recently, the public school closure in California has been extended. This announcement made my gf sad, she misses her students. My local walmart has set a limit on how many people can be in the store at one time. Walmart will only allow one person per cart into the store, if you need a person to help, you can bring someone. The use of the walmart shopping/pickup app is being encouraged. Many local restaurants are doing either delivery, call in/curbside pickups only. The only positive to come out of it, is that you are allowed to include alcohol in your order. Prior to the pandimec, you couldn't include alcohol with your take out. The border with Mexico is only allowing essential people to cross. I found it interesting that the country of Mexico decided to cease alcohol sales in the entire country as of midnight this past wednesday(april 1). I'm actually waiting to hear or read about alcohol being smuggled localy into Mexicali from the u.s. side. Parks are empty. Usually there'd be lots of evening activity in them. Adult and children softball leagues, picnics, playgrounds being used, joggers and other various activities are absent. The world around us has become the stuff that movies and t.v. shows are made of. Many people are doing what they can, within means, of continuing along with life as usual. Dogs still need to be walked. Essentials still have to be bought. Jobs still need to be worked. I'm sure it's not as crazy here as it perhaps is in a much larger community or city. Hopefully all this is just a temporary interruption in our lives. Hopefully no more of the year gets canceled. Take care everyone and i'll see you on the freedom side of the quarantine. (2020 . . . D@MN! . . . ) Photograph- Taken/Owned by me, Plethos

It is much the same here. Being retired and out in the sticks it hasn't impacted on us too much.

Stay safe and healthy. Breathe in deep and then out. Multiple times of the day! I wish more folks where I am at would do as our governor has demanded: stay home!!

@DianneN It sure is scary, isn't it? This is probably the scariest thing I've been through in my lifetime and I'm 67!

@Plethos That’s good. I’m content being home. It’s scary out there these days.
