MyLot Musicians, Show Yourselves

I know of a couple MyLotters who are musicians. I will not call out any names just so as not to forget anyone. Musician can be defined as anyone who sings, plays and instrument, writes music, does music covers etcetera. I share my wares all the time here for whatever that is worth. And others do here as well. I'd be VERY interested in hearing your musical talents, be they from YouTube or wherever, so long as I can get to them. SoundCloud and YouTube are two places I can definitely get to have a listen. If you don't mind sharing a link in your comments, I'd LOVE to have a look or listen. This could be a lot of fun. Of course, if you are not a musician, but you KNOW someone who is and want to share that link I'd be happy to look or listen to that as well. We all have a niece or nephew, grandchild, child, brother, sister, mom or dad, or friend who dabbles in music. Share away and I will see you on the other side.

No musical talent in my immediate circle...You are the only one I know of with musical talent that shares it here or on YouTube. Great picture!

I learned to play the guitar in High School and I used to sing. Now I sound like two tom cats having a fight when I sing...neither cat is winning either!! I also used to play the organ but it was forced on me so I ended up not playing it again after I left home. My favorite song is "Passengers will please refrain". My pain meds are kicking in and I may just sing it for you for the fun of it. It might give you all a laugh...especially when you see a train go by. When you hear the song...I will tell you now that the sign is real!!! Mom and I took the train to an event and we saw the sign posted in the bathroom. I was very tempted to steal the sign, but I didn't. Coming soon to a speaker near you, two tom cats fighting singing "Passengers will please refrain"...

Do it! Maybe I'll take some of my pain meds before I listen. Who is the song by? It's a line from a famous Steve Goodman song.

@TheHorse I'm not too sure who the song is by...I remember it from my childhood. It's still one of my favorites. I'll sing it when I'm put on hold by a doctor's office or a business. It usually get's to the "I love you" line or the "So may you" and someone will answer the hold. It's 4 p.m. California time (as @TheHorse knows) and I just took my pain meds...and "IF" he's gonna listen to my singing he should otta take some of his pain meds!!!! I ain't kidding it really stinks! 2

OK, here's my most listened to song, but I think you've heard it. I didn't write this one. Nor did Willie Nelson or Emmylou Harris. Townes Van Zandt did.

@porwest I want to do "If I needed You" by Townes. But I have to find the perfect female to do it with me. Do you think this version is pretty good?
If I needed you, would you come to me? Would you come to me for to ease my pain? If you needed me, I would come to you. I would swim the sea for to ease your...

@TheHorse I don't know that I have ever heard that song before, so thank you for sharing it. Hope you find someone to do it with. I think this would be a great cover for you to do.

I can sing but not a musician however. I didn't receive any formal training. I could play a little bit of the harmonium but long ago.

I tried some formal training once. Teacher gave me a refund and told me not to quit my day job.

@porwest That's what I say too. I've been playing so long, you'd think I'd be good by now.

Hmmm... my daughter tells me I sing in my sleep... She's never told me whether she's recorded any of it, though. I recorded one song for my fiance, then she told me I couldn't sing. So now, I just sing for myself, to myself. *shrug* I learned to play the piano when I was a little shaver... haven't done any of that in ten? (I think. ) years... Not likely to start again, either.

I play the piano, poorly, and the organ, less poorly. I have my grandparent's organ and intend to teach myself how to play it. I can play the right hand reasonably well and play Christmas music on occasion. You won't find me on YouTube or SoundCloud. Here is a picture of my grandparent's organ and a picture of my grandparents on the organ.
