Lines outside the grocery store

I just saw a post on my former town's Facebook group with a picture of the local grocery store. There was a huge line of people wearing masks and standing 6 feet away from each other waiting to enter the store. They were only letting a certain number of people in at one time to help promote social distancing.
I don't have a mask so I couldn't go even if I wanted to. I'm glad I don't need to go though. I would be seriously annoyed about waiting outside in line like that. I'm sure my parents will be in touch the next time they hit up the food store. I don't need or want much. Just a few things to mix up what I've been eating and some fresh fruit like watermelon.

I haven’t gone in 11 days. I plan to avoid stores for awhile. I hope that you get what you need.

Yes and it`s really hard since I must always think of the social distancing while some other people don`t mind

@spiderdust Yes. I have a hard time making myself far away from the people around the store, There are some people who looks so angry with me for making myself far away from them

That's a very frustrating factor! I feel as if some people here aren't taking social distancing seriously at all.

Yes and It was the same here, It is so different now. I wish this horrible thing would end for all of us! I am praying for the World! They were only letting 10 people at a time in at the grocery store here a few weeks ago and I had to search for a basket becasue they weren't any the lady that worked there told me you will just see them in random places becasue the guy that brings the Baskets in did not get there until a certain time.

It is that way here too. There were more people wearing masks (like me), but this was 5 days ago that I went. I hope everyone is wearing them now. The lines seem long, but with people 6 ft apart it's relatively not long - or at least the lines seemed to go fairly quickly . . . different from the times when people were hoarding. I am making homemade masks now.

Yes I was and one it was not good so I left and went to another one and that was not that great either. When I had to get food at the pet store for my cat I stopped in the grocery store by there and the guard would wait til a person was inside till he let the next one in. I was happy to get home. I hope I can wait for next week or the week after.

My husband went last week. They were out of a lot of things. He needs to go earlier in the day.
