I’m Sorry, but I Must Make my Bed Every Single Morning

Pillows and all!
I have always made my bed first thing every single morning. I do it the second I wake up.
It takes time running back and forth around our king size bed, but I do it anyway.
My husband removes and stacks the pillows neatly on a chair every night.
I change the sheets weekly.
It’s as important to us as brushing our teeth despite the virus.
What about you? Be honest!

I wait about one hour after we get up to make my bed. When I get up I wide open the window, remove the blanket and let the bed there until after our breakfast. When I come back upstairs I do my bed every morning. I also change the sheets weekly. I did yesterday.

We usually leave it open to air while we are in the bathroom once that is done then we would tidy up the bed. If I had my way I would love to get into a completely freshly made bed each day but like you bed changes on Saturday.
I get my weekly work out trying to put the duvet into the quilt cover with a lot of huffing and puffing punching and taking it out and putting it back in sometimes even climbing in to it to make sure the corners are in the corner. Then collapse in a heap once it is done. As you can tell changing the quilt cover is not my greatest forte!

I just mentioned to Anna that our mattress is one made for hot weather. It and the mattress cover are ventilated, so no airing out is necessary.
We only use a duvet up north, but hubs found a system that works perfectly for him - not for me!

My husband has been sleeping til at least the afternoon and Little Miss destroys her bed after I make it. So, I wait for the hubby to get up and I make it. The sheets do get changes once a week regardless. Keeping the bed made with Little Miss playing in her room is next to impossible.

@DianneN even if her room were bigger that would be a plus. It is more like a walk-in closet!!

Don’t be sorry about your habits!
No, I don’t. I make it when I change the sheets. I figure folding a fitted sheet is enough exercise with bed clothing.

I am on the same page. I do it second thing in morning or rather third thing.... After drinking water and freshening up.
But I don't leave my room without doing it.
I change the bedsheets every Saturday.

I told Anna and Gary that we have a ventilated mattress and mattress cover here in Florida that’s made so that we don’t need to air the bedding before making the bed.
Anna only does it for one hour.
It’s too warm outside here in the morning.

@DianneN This is the first time I heard of the ventilated mattress and mattress cover. It sounds cool.
I don't think we have a ventilated mattress and mattress cover her in Germany.
I am glad that you have a warm weather in the morning already.

I make my bed many times a day, especially since my husband and I have been away from work lately. Because my husband likes to play with his phone or computer in bed, I have to make the bed for him every time he messes it up.

@DianneN He is lazy at this point, but at other times he is diligent.
The point is that he doesn't feel the need to make the bed.

I'm a slacker when it comes to making my bed. I guess I got spoiled with my girlfriend, because I would get up much earlier than her to go to work, so she would make the bed when she got up several hours later. However, with the virus crisis going on, she's not here and hasn't been here for more than two weeks now, and I haven't made my bed once! When she finally does come back to Gainesville after the quarantine is lifted, I'll have to remember to make my bed before she arrives so she can think I was a good boy this whole time making the bed every morning!

@DianneN I am a little bit spoiled, aren't I? But it's not my fault, I have to get up so much earlier than her for work.

@moffittjc When I taught, hubs was retired, so he made the bed first thing every day.
That’s how it should work.

.
Blackie and Buttercup run to the front door every day after the bed is made.
