mind is a blank

I've been sitting here in front of this screen for several minutes, trying to think of what to post, and nothing is coming to mind. Forgive me for the stream of consciousness writing, as it seems that will be the only way I get a post written this morning. I'm tired, but my breathing is a lot better. I didn't take any Primatene yesterday at all, which is a definite improvement. My ear hurts today, and it's related to a neck issue... and unfortunately, I can't go see the person who usually helps to fix that for me. My son "meets" with his preschool class online in about an hour, and they're supposed to show off the "homework" they did (some kind of art), and I forgot to have him do any kind of art yesterday. The weather was so nice that I had the little boys play outside instead, but that's hard to show off during circle time. He helped with mixing ingredients for the bread we had with dinner... maybe he can hold up a loaf of the bread. I have to pull the turkey out of the freezer today and put it in a cooler so it can thaw in time for Sunday. I have some packages of stuffing too, and some cranberry sauce in the pantry. Easter dinner is starting to look more like Thanksgiving dinner, but that's okay. I'm still making funeral potatoes though, because that's an Easter tradition for us. I have laundry to do today (always!) and a shower to take and children's hair to detangle... maybe we can all learn how to French braid during this quarantine! What are you up to today?

French braiding, it was my dream to someday learn how! Then, a friend explained it to me, how simple it is. Wah-lah! I learned how and love to French braid my hair

@spiderdust At first, I used wave set gel, to make the hair easier to grip onto. After I learned how, it's used only for shorter ends that might fall down.

I know the basic theory of how to do it, but my braids are messy. I guess we have time to practice now!

I think as soon as my son's preschool video meetup is over, I'm going to leave the kids in charge of one of the other adults here and go back to bed. I need this ear thing to stop.

I do not think we will have a special Easter Dinner. I used up some stale bread to make stuffing today with canned chicken in it. I should have made cranberries. . . maybe tomorrow. I have the blank mind thing as well. Yours just has had everything sucked out by homeschooling and keeping everything in balance. Bread IS art.

I don't even feel like I'm doing a good job homeschooling right now, especially with one of the teens.

Hey, bread baking counts as something! Honestly, I'd do a whole lot of nothing today if I could get away with it.

@spiderdust It is so hard if anything happens to us now healthwise that we are not able to go see a professional. It is good to have you back. Thanks for sharing.

I've been taking doxycycline for a few days. It's improved the funk I had. Brook has been doing a lot better than Ayden with homework and stuff. She'll go do her reading without a fight but when it comes to math she says she can't read it or forgot how to do it. She just doesn't want to do math. Plus they are teaching common core and I don't like that.
