More good news on Cornavirus!

Anyone out there that has had the tuberculosis vaccine BCG may have increased immunity against Covid-19. In countries that use it as part of their state vaccination programs we are seeing six-and-a half time slower infection rates of the Corona virus. Its obviously a respiratory illness jab and TB effects the same area of the lung Corona-virus goes. TB was a big killer in Victorian times, way more than CV19. Its the jab we had when were age 10-14 and leave that big scar on your shoulder area. In the UK we stopped vaccinating kids with it in 2006 though as TB was confined to mostly gay men and homeless drug users. The evidence is not peer reviewed yet but it makes sense it would help , a vaccine version of this used to fight other illnesses, like Bladder cancer. I hope it helps as I had the jab in the 1980's ;-) Sadly its not given after your 35th birthday as not effective then.

I have also seen articles suggesting that the BCG vaccine, where it has been used to protect against TB, seems to cause a 6% reduction in serious complications. I am not sure whether I received it as a child or not but they did use BCG when treating my bladder cancer, That, however, was not by injection but as a solution inserted into the bladder itself and allowed to 'wash around' for an hour. (I was always amazed that anyone would even think of using BCG in such a radically different way - let alone that it actually worked!). Whether the treatment I had would be effective at mitigating the effects of coronavirus, I don't know, but I certainly hope that it might.

That is what I was told as well. I have one when I was 12. I am praying that it is still working. That is like 28 years ago.

Wierd, anti tuberculosis was mandatory in Italy when I was a kid, so why so many are dying in Italy and exactly in the range of people who had that vaccination?

I read about this report and it even came on news channel. Though they are still speculating and have not confirmed it. We have these two vaccines as part of our vaccination program in our country.
