Perhaps lately we have more time for DIY. It is very interesting that some people even DIY the soap by themselves. And it is amazing to see to see the "full moon" soap It is quite beautiful.

I do not know that soap but I know how to make soap in a survival situation using only wood ash from campfire, water and vegetable oil. It's not as hard as real soap and could sometimes be like dishwashing liquid, not as fragrant as soap but it could clean.

@youless the secret is to extract the most lye from pot ash. Those commercial soap diy comes with fragrances, hardeners that survival soap making does not have. I learned the process of saponification long ago in chemistry laboratory class, I remember the word saponification clearly well because " sabon" is the Filipino word for soap from the Spanish word " jabon"

This is really pretty, but I am not going to make soap, we have so many soap bars at home, they will survive us.

@youless I never realized that my husband bought so many soap bars. I should sell them online.

Many people here make their own soap. In France, I bought some soap made from donkey milk.

No, I haven't tried it. Even if I made it, I thought probably I didn't want to use it since it is quite beautiful
