In these times of lockdown and social distancing, we sometimes end up with some foods that we need to use up but don't know what to do with them. There is a website called Fridgetotable.com that may have some good suggestions for you. The website is very user-friendly and simple to use. It asks "What do you need to use up?" You simply type in the ingredient; for example, tomatoes. Then you choose the type of diet that you're on: None, Vegan, Vegetarian, Pescatarian or Paleo. It will return a whole page of recipes for you to choose from. You can also list more than one ingredient. Type in the ingredient, hit enter; and then type in another ingredient; for example, pork chops and apples. I hope this gives you some new ideas. Photo Credit: Pixabay

That's a smart idea. In this time of food shortages (at least in some places), it's important that we don't waste any of the food in our fridge if we don't have to. I'm always looking for ideas of how to best use things I find in my fridge. I'm going to type in "leftover chinese food from 2015" and see what suggestions the website may have.

@LindaOHio With all the MSG and preservatives they put in Chinese food, it should still be good for another 2-3 years! Hmmmm.....maybe that's what gave me such an upset stomach last night!

I like the philosophy of Dump it in the pan and if it doesn't bite you, you bite it.
