Due to the crowding in the market, the authorities are allowing some vendors to sell their ware on the sidewalk. Sidewalk vending is illegal but not for now because they lessen the crowd in the market that the government had acknowledged the sidewalk vendors' help to the public.

Yes, that is the idea, to spread out so the crowd will not be much.

@Alexandoy for sure yes, but they have to be careful not to create a crowd where they are positioned.

@allen0187 that is a problem here because anywhere there can be a crowd - supermarket, pharmacy, banks. The general public is not yet used to being away by 6 feet. Oh, it's only 3 feet here.

It can at least lessen the crowding in the market.

That is one good way for vendors to sell their wares on the sidewalk due to the heavy crowds in the market.

Yes, I think that's safer than going to a crowded market. But I do hope the sellers practice social distancing

It would be convenient to find one nearby , than going all the way to the market .

It's good that the law is allowing vendors to sell on the sidewalks now. Allowances have to be made until the virus is gone

That is what the mayor said. This is an emergency situation so some laws are not applicable.

Interesting! But is maintaining a 2 meter space still encouraged?

Here, it is only 1 meter for the distancing. But I admit that it is not obeyed all the time.

This sounds quite a good idea to me. Ideas need to change to fit the circumstances.

At least the authorities had noticed the long lines almost anywhere especially in the market.

Our village has several rolling stores too so the people can avoid going to the market.

I think it's a good move if they can maintain social distancing

That is always the crux here - social distancing is not strictly observed.
