My first computer game

Recently I watched some videos about the history of games and they mentioned a game called Pong. I didn't know the name of the game, but I immediately recognized the game. It is a very simple game. Two people play together and they have to hit a ball (a small dot that moves around) It is like an online version of table tennis.
Many years ago my grandmother's old black and white tv broke down and she bought her first color tv. She asked me to find the channels and while I did that I discovered the game (Pong) My brother and I immediately started playing the game and we had a lot of fun.
At that time we didn't have a computer and the tv in my parents' home didn't include that game. When we visited my grandmother we always asked our grandmother if we could play the game. She couldn't watch tv while we played, but she didn't mind, she enjoyed seeing us play. We asked her if she wanted to try, but she she wasn't interested.
Computer games are much more advanced today, and I am sure that children of today would find it really boring

One of first games my brother got was Tetris, and we played it sometimes, but I was not very good at it
Later we got Sonic the hedgehog and we both loved that game.

Yes, games are really different today. I only play short online games, but I know that there are many other kinds of games.

@CarolDM Yes, I still remember the first games we played at home. We used a cassette player to load the games. We needed lots of patience

I played that game too when I was in college, if I remember right you could choose single player and play like you are playing it against a wall and double if you want to play with somebody. This was the first and simplest computer game I played with, the Nentendo family computer came much much later. I did not know it was called Pong or I forgot.

I have never tried the single player version because my brother and I always played together, but it probably existed in my grandmother's version of the game. I discovered the name a few days ago when I was watching a video about the history of gaming. When we played it I didn't know the name.

@Porcospino funny thing was I knew it was made by Atari so we just say " let's play atari" lol. That format has also been in game arcades , one where you drop coins but I can't remember if that came later or about the same time.

I have played it in the past, but I didn't know the name. I found the name by coincidence a few days ago.

I was surprised to find the game on my grandmother's tv. She wasn't interested in the game, but my brother and I used to play it a lot.

My brother and I enjoyed it a lot. At that time we weren't used to computer games at all, and we didn't have a computer at home.
