During the Covid-19 outbreak I have had a lot of time to garden – on the back patio. It is enclosed even though it not heated but it does get a lot of sun. I started growing potatoes in pots, beans and salad greens just in case there is a food shortage. In addition, I started all my annual and perennial flowers from seeds, tomatoes, peppers and other vegetables and they are about ready to be transferred to the outdoors as soon as the weather gets warmer. The patio garden is my happy place and enjoy puttering around it every day. What is your happy place?

We usually just do a lot of containers on our patio with flowers, although this year, I have already started some tomato plants.

@Juliaacv , For some reasons, we do not eat too many tomatoes anymore, so no plants this year.

My balcony is my happy place now to plant my flowers and some veggies. I have planted ginger, oregano, spring onions and strawberries in the pots.

You are smart to plant a garden especially if we don't know if a food shortage could hit. Your garden looks like it's thriving I like to sit outside on my porch when the weather is nice

Is that a photo of your lush plants? Wow! Since I split my time between 2 homes, I only plant annuals in the yard and flowers and herbs on the deck. I used to have a huge garden back in the day and miss it.

@Freelanzer I am glad you have a happy place you enjoy. I call my porch my happy place if not bothered and can just enjoy it and read and pet my cat.

@Hannihar I guess you have already tried but is there anything you can do to stop the bully? I have one next door but luckily they are not above me, that would be too close.

@Freelanzer I wish I had quiet time. I have a bully neighbor that lives above me and harrasses me all the time everyday and late at night and early morning and all day long. He does not stop for our Sabbath or our holidays.

@Nevena83 I plant new ones each year, some survive others don't Right now I have about 10 varieties. I wait patiently each spring to see if the newest ones survive,

I love your garden! I live in an apartment with a very small balcony so I have no place to grow anything.

Gardening is a great hobby. I have not started a garden, only flowers coming up from last year. I love bird watching as well.

Oh no! I really don't have a happy place here. My happy place is when I am in Montana and that doesn't happen often any longer.
