A rare type of photo....

I was looking through my photos and I found this one. I sort of remember taking it but it made me laugh because Leilah ( cat ) and Charlie ( dog ) aren't exactly close. Charlie will often try to run around wanting to play with Leilah but either Leilah will just sit there looking at him like he is a psycho or she will run off to hide. Only time she will run after him is when she is trying to swipe her paw at him. 
Sometimes she gets him! But it's not enough to the point she has hurt him or anything!
But this photo made me smile and laugh thinking how rare this occasion was. To have them laying so close together getting some rest. Because you know, they do have a very very busy life and all! 
Do you have more than one pet and do they get on with each other?

@VivaLaDani13 It's probably better that way to be honest. Winston can be a bit vicious when he gets annoyed. Hugo could end up missing some vital bits. Like eyes, nose etc.

That's so cute! My Chihuahua Annabelle (9 yrs.) LOVES cats, and always tries to make friends with them. My Chihuahua Sadie (I got her the day before Thanksgiving last year, but she is 7) thinks any animal, no matter what kind, is a threat. Annabelle wants so badly to be best friends with Sadie, but it has taken months just to get Sadie to be "civil". As the months dragged on Sadie has become more tolerant - so hopefully they'll eventually get to be buddies.

@AmbiePam aww I see. I do hope Sadie can become more trusting. It's sad when animals are like that. They still both sound very adorable!

I can see Leilah looking at Charlie and wondering what is he doing. They both have no problem sleeping next to each other in the picture. When I was married I had a dog and cat and they loved each other. Now, I just have Sophie and not sure she would want another pet in our home.

@Hannihar They didn't seem to have a problem laying next to each other on this day but it's never happened again since. Leilah ( cat ) doesn't really like to be close to him. It's just very rare.

@Hannihar I haven't really thought about that before. That very well could be it I'm not sure. When other dogs / cats have been around ( like if a friend brings over their pet ) Leilah doesn't want anything to do with them either so I'm not sure.
Aw that is sad! I'm sorry your cat then didn't want anything to do with any other animal.

That's a cute picture and an interesting one too.!! Cats and dogs are not supposed to go together well. But I have seen many such cute adorable pictures online where people have shared such warmth and bondign between their cats and dogs.

We have 9 dogs at home and more than 5 adopted cats. They get along pretty well.
