The news are depressing. Health versus economy.

Tomorrow my eldest daughter will go back to work. It would be nice if it weren´t for the dangerous conditions. She will relate with her patients online, but there are data in her workplace that make it impossible to do it from home. And as she will have to go elsewhere, she has become bolder and she will give appointments to some patients at her house. She speaks of 6 feet, but I don´t trust that. She speaks of masks and hand washing, but if that were true the virus would not take more victims every day. She is happy because she will be doing what she loves. And she will have money to send to Diego, stranded in Spain with no possibility of working. She also has to pay for the mortgage of her house. I don´t know if she can stop her payment for a while or if the house will go back to the Bank after decades. This is terrible! How is it in your country?

I believe you are worried about your daughter. I think the virus is under control here because my country reacted promptly and introduced many bans.

It's okay for us but I know it's really tough for those with mortgages, jobs, etc. They are talking of trying to ease restrictions here.

@JudyEv I know. Tania changed her house last year with the idea of renting rooms upstairs as her children were gone. Now, of course, she does not dare rent a room to anybody.

@marguicha Many of the younger people (even middle-aged) would never have imagined needing to worry about such an event as we have now.

The virus is a real scary one and highly contagious. All your concerns and worries are well justified about your daughter. But guess one has to move on with all precautions. Lets all pray for our loved one's safety and health. We too are getting cases but the situation seems to be improving here as experts say. Somehow an early lockdown has helped our country though few states are still getting cases but rest are showing positive signs.

@arunima25 Money will be a problem. But a change in the way of the difference between the richer and the poor must be done..

@marguicha Yes. It definitely would be. But how long is it practical among the the money needs that arise.

The situation you are in is very bad. One has to choose between health and not wealth but means of living. The situation in our country overall is bad but it is good in the area I live in.

According to my wife shopping is an unpleasant process. It started out really confusing but we've muddled through it all and there is some hope that my immediate family is weathering everything just fine. Our province in Canada at this point is one of the least affected so we're considering ourselves blessed. I have a sister-in-law in California though who is a health professional and she recently tested positive for the virus. Her symptoms at this point are minor and hopefully stay that way.

The President would like to see the states out of lockdown as soon as possible; but many states are not ready for that. I fear that the spread of the virus will start all over again. People have been unable to work for a month now. I'm sorry to hear about the conditions in your country. Things are tough all over.

The only countries that have done better with the corona virus are the ones with complete quarantine. Our government will not hear of it.

In my country, Malaysia, the spread has seemed to be reduced since the government introduced the movement control order (MCO). Previously, we had triple digit new cases. But for the past two weeks or so, new cases had reduced to double digit. And there was a day when we had less than 20 new cases. Even with this positive results of the MCO, we have been told not to be complacent. And the government also had introduced many stimulus packages to help the citizens economically. The banks had given us a suspension of mortgage payment for six months without incurring any extra interest or late fee charges and this has helped a lot.

The question is: does the entire world spend the rest of eternity wearing masks scared inside with no proper healthcare and eventually no food? The "experts" proclaim just that or least two more years of this. Who knows if or whenever there will be a vaccine.

That is one of the questions, of course. My own question has to do with my own daughter. My 2 daughters and myself have joined forces (as money goes) so that we and ours are safe. I don´t want my eldest daughter to lose her life (precious to me) in order to have more money. We can plant veggies, we can save in many ways.
