Michangelo and Leonardo

Michangelo and Leonardo were in artistic competition during their lifetimes, the 16th century, according to Michangelo's biographer, Irving Stone. According to Stone, Leonardo made fun of Michangelo because the latter did 'dirty' sculpting work rather than doing higher classed painting, as Leoranado did. Michangelo and Leonardo both have paintings entitled "Enunciation" about Mary's being informed that she would give birth to Jesus, that Son of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit. These paintings are in the Ufizzi art gallery in Florence, Italy, where they both lived.

I had the luck of going to the Sistine chapel. I don´t know if I would like it so much now, after it was cleaned.

I do not like it at all after it has been cleaned. Those colors look "fake", I am sure the originals were not like that.

That is very interesting I guess there was some competition between the great masters.

Yes there was, and not all 'fun' according to M's biographer.

Yes, Stone brought that world to life. Great and precise detail.

Both great, but M excelled in more fields of art, as far as l know. L was a great scientist in his work.
