You Cannot Keep Them Down.....

Well now I was just looking outside from this high rise window. I saw two figures from head to toe in some kind of plastic just that like two walking tubes. I laughed and I thought what on earth are they supposed to be? I was also thinking that this country might have been flogged pretty hard but you just cannot keep a good true Spaniard down they are what they are and that´s it. You Cannot Keep Them Down..... I had second thoughts about what they were supposed to be or might have been but that is between me and the brick wall. Just found a vid of a tour of Spain that says it all ma bello ma bello Manolo Escobar love you to the stars and Moon and back again. Ole ole viva la Madre que los parió.
video sin animo de lucro para ensalzar al maestro Manolo Escobar.

Here, people are doing all kinds of things to entertain others during this crisis. One woman uses her front porch as a stage where she wears a different costume every day with signs that make people want to see what she will do tomorrow. People sing, dance down the streets ... do silly things when they make the trip to their mailboxes to entertain the neighbors.

Now that is something you will not hear of here at all so I am so glad you mention it here. Its our way of protesting with harm to none I hope they keep that up if they can kudos for them or to them I mean good for them. Bravo, bravo to that lady bless her.

@GrannyGee Oh that is really nice what good news sadly and alas Spain only likes bad news most of the time the morbid sort. One guy across here put up his Christmas lights in the window in a sort of heart shape so that is better than nothing. Here in Navarra we have been in lockdown much longer than other places but they are not letting up jsut because of that we have to stay put although secretly we don´t want to. Madrid is still the hardest hit with Barcelona as a sad runner up to it. The Spanish are quite defiant on some levels so they are taking it tough really.

@lovinangelsinstead21 Every day on our news we see videos taken of what people do everywhere as they entertain their neighbors. Like this elderly man had a birthday .... everybody came down his street on their cars honking their horns while holding out 'Happy Birthday' signs. Then ... on another street everybody dressed up in colorful clothes ... they had on loud, happy music and danced while elderly people drove their electric chairs down the middle. They were cheering them up ... everyone was singing and smiling, dancing.

I saw a meme of a hairdresser dressed head to toe in a trash bag.

Now that is very subtle he is giving out a message there well done very well done. See I told you others are doing such things. There was a hairdresser on yesterday telling us how to take care of our hair bless him and he means well very generous with his tips but you cannot get that kind of stuff around here.

@DianneN I wish we could but there will be no hairdressers for a long long time as yet.

I guess I am all for it if it keeps them healthy and safe. I wonder where they got their supplies?

They are a pair of scammers pranksters but funny does in no way mean that I condone what they did but make me laugh yes. The official stuff has been made known to us by Doctors and Police on the television. Spaniards are well known for this kind of thing.

No they are just playing some kind of trick that is not the normal clothing for those people to wear but they were funny just the same. A pair of rogues who can blame them wanting a bit of fun we are in high rise flats with very little to look down out of so tensions build up of course they do.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I can understand how tensions would rise with this enforced lockdown. It gave you something to enjoy watching them.

People are using their brains in every way they can and even saw a video in which a person was wearing a star around his body to maintain social distancing

Okay, okay you have got it lo has pillao in Spanish. There are a lot of pranksters here and they are doing it and risking getting fined as no one is supposedly to be out unless you have a shopping bag full of shopping that is. They were not official health workers or anything like that. Here we have a lot of Catalans who like to show off and protest big time. I don´t condone what I saw but they have made me laugh at least goodness knows we need it.

@Butterfingers Catalans that live here or around here paint things on the subway walls but the opposition as they call them go and paint over them in red quite funny really you don´t know whether they are kidding or what. Something to lighten up our day they are quite amusing.

I thought that but they were not wearing any masks just one plastic tube straight up straight down. Spanish people still dare to play jokes even now even now.
