Happy Birthday Dad

Amazing as it might seem today April 23 would have been my dad’s 115 birthday since he was born in 1905. It seems like time has just flown. He went through WW II and married my mom while they were in the DP or Displaced Person’s Camps in Germany. He loved me from the moment I was born and was my best friend until he died when I was just ten. So every one of his birthdays I still remember and after all these years I still miss him.
Photo of my dad, my mom, and me I think I am the short one in the middle barely standing on my feet.
I included a song by Lisa Marie Presley sung for her dad Elvis “Dance With My Father Again”.
This video is my tribute to Elvis and his daughter Lisa. The song is sung by Kellie Coffey!

I'm glad you have such wonderful memories of your dad. I remember my dad too every year when his birthday rolls around (Nov 22). I'm sorry you lost your dad when you were so young.

@RasmaSandra My mother in law used to collect photos. Then a decade ago, she suddenly got sick of the whole lot and decided to give them all away (her children's baby photos). Because of that, we ended up having some very good photos of my husband's old relatives among his baby's photos. (I was very pleased.)

Nice photo. My Dad would of been 100 on May 1st. He served in WW II and married my Mom who was also in the service when he returned from the war. So glad he survived combat as both my Dad was a supportive loving and wonderful father.
Dad's cast a big shadow don't they?
