On a hot seat

The grueling heat persists and I find myself literally sitting on a hot seat while trying to do some work on my laptop. It's quite challenging, to be honest, to write when you're sweating all over. I've got two electric fans working and oscillating. But the heat is just... staggering? scorching? debilitating? We no longer bother to turn on the airconditioning when the heat is this terrible because it doesn't seem to help much. We plan to get a new airconditioner once the appliance and hardware stores resume business on May 1st.
In the meantime, we resort to taking a bath at least twice a day and drinking lots and lots of fluids.

I spoke too soon. It appears that our province will have a lockdown by May 1st.

Yes, when it gets hot like that there is no relief. What you need to do is lay on a bucket of ice

Hardwares are supposed to open May 1st if your area is already on GCQ. Unfortunately, Cavite is heading for a lockdown so we won't be getting our supplies soon.

@almostoveryou Yes, it is Spring here in Switzerland, Geneva is cooler than here in the south, the flowers are all blooming now.

Is it Spring there? I have a friend who lives in Geneva and she posted a photo of a wide expanse of beautiful wild flowers in the countryside. So beautiful.

Cold infused water looks so refreshing. I just want a mango tree for shade near our house. But I guess we will have to buy even a .5 airconditer in the meantime once the stores are opened, I'm not sure.

@almostoveryou I ordered a cooler instead. Because installation would mean getting another person in the house. My hubby thinks it is risky.

What's your current heat index? Here the temp is about 37 deg C but the heat index is something like 41.
