Cutting Wood

Last fall a large, two-trunked hicory tree was blown down in our side yard, without any damage to anything but the tree. Hickory trees make wonderful fire wood.
My wife made a short trail to it from the yard and began cutting the small, top branches from it. She invited me to join heh very soon, and we are now are using our four different chain saws to cut larger limbs into fireplace length. We are also are using our riding lawn mower to transport the cut logs to our pre-built log racks.
When the logs have dried for about six months, they will be perfect to burn on our enclosed fireplace with a blower to distribute wonderful warm air through our house, at practically no cost but our work. In this respect, our life is quite wonderful at present.

I could use you at my house. I've got tree branches to close to my house and roof which need cutting down
Great way to keep busy and prepare for winter!

It is good to think ahead, and this may be an ideal opportunity, you have enough time you don't have to rush

It's quite rare to see anyone cut branches of tree for fire these days
