Thanks to Technology During Pandemic

It is good there is wifi, or internet connections which keep us close to friends and relatives even if were on a lockdown. It had been over a month that we are on an enhanced community quarantine, or modified lockdown, so to say, and communicating with loved ones help us cope with it, emotionally. There were scheduled family affairs that did not push through, many important events postponed due to this pandemic. We hope this will end soon, so we could lead normal lives again.

At least technology is next to the real thing, I just wonder if this happened before the computer age.

@acelawrites stupid long distance you need to talk the fastest that you can, the same way with analog cellphones before there were apps like messenger and Viber. With telegrams you have to compose the shortest possible otherwise it's too expensive.

It would be so hard to connect with far-away friends and relatives; so costly too if you will call them long-distance or through telegraph!

@louievill yes, it was so costly; you still have to pay transpo.going to the telegraph outlet; and long distance call is so costly too!

The internet has surely kept the windows open to the world for us - we are (have been) fortunate to have this technology. Also kids can continue to learn online during this time since they cannot go to school. Yes, let's hope this ends soon!

@acelawrites The only problem is online learning is not quality education - yet, anyway. I see a lot of flaws, but I cannot complain for the moment . . . it is something, better than nothing.
