National Mr. Potato Head Day
Hairstyle Appreciation Day - This during the time when we can't go to a barber or a salon!
1938 - An animated cartoon short debuts in movie theaters, introducing Happy Rabbit, an early version of Bugs Bunny.
2009 - Chrysler files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
1926 - Cloris Leachman was born. She is an American actress and comedian. She is probably best known for her role as Phyllis Lindstrom on the Mary Tyler Moore TV show and also the spin-off Phyllis in the 1970s. Leachman has won 8 Primetime Emmys, 1 Daytime Emmy and 1 Academy Award for her role in the movie The Last Picture Show. In 2008, at the age of 82, she competed on the TV show Dancing With the Stars.
1975 - Johnny Galecki was born. He is an American actor best remembered for his role of David Healy on the Roseanne show (1992-1997 & 2018) and Leonard on the Big Bang Theory (2007-2019). You might also remember him in the movie, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation in the role of Rusty.

@LindaOHio Gosh. This gave me a REVELATION. I FINALLY know what the hell REM was singing about "Shiny happy people holding hands." It was a bald, retired guys convention.

@DianneN Exactly. My husband was really mad when I cut my mid-back hair; but I told him, "Then YOU take care of it"....Because I have naturally wavy hair; and my hair is kinda wiry and bushy, I always had to set it in rollers when it was long and then sit under the dryer. Now that it's short, I wash it, run a brush through it and let it dry. Easy peasy.

Ah, the old Mr. Potato Head. I remember a funny cartoon once that had Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head in it. He was going on a business trip and he had packed his...you know...thingamabobber. Mrs. Potato Head said, "It's just a business trip right?" Mr. Potato Head said it was. She pulls out the thingamabobber and says, "Then you won't be needing THIS." lol

I don't recall every having a Mr. Potato Head, but I sure love the character in the Toy Story movies. He and Mrs. Potato Head are hilarious!
