Blooms Were Worth Waiting For

Here is the lily I showed you with all the buds on it last week or the previous week. It has now had a day of multiple blooms and is very pretty.
The storm last weekend got the first bloom and it wasn't very pretty at all. I was glad to see several days of sunshine in the forecast this week so we could take advantage of some nice blooms!
As you can see, the wait was well worth it. I have more lilies that are also full of buds and will be blooming soon.

Day lillies are so beautiful when they bloom, aren't they! I love the yellow ones in your photo. All I ever see around here are the white ones.

@moffittjc I looked at a couple of online nurseries today and the shipping is crazy. I'll just have to wait until I see the pretties here in person because I'm not paying more for shipping than for the bulb. Also, some of the bulbs are over $20 for one bulb.

@kareng I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. I guess we're at the mercy of whatever color lilies the nurseries want to grow!

@wolfgirl569 That is like the flower I see in cow pastures here. I don't know what it is but I will dig some up next year hopefully and find out what they are! I've seen them with yellow flowers and white flowers.
