If COVID wasn´t here. Where would you like to go?

I love vacations and holidays and many times I plan them to places where I will never go. I would like to visit Morocco. I would bring some souvenirs for me from there because there are too many beautiful things to buy. I´d like to visit Istanbul. But if I just want what I could get, I´d go to Aruba again. Do you daydream of going out now that you are jailed in your house, in your bedroom maybe and the only place where you may go if you are careful is to the supermarket? Where do your dreams take you?

We are planning a road trip to the Florida Keys in September. Time will tell if we can take it.

@lindaOHio Last night I watched the movie Leisure Seeker on Netflix where an elderly couple went on a road trip to the Florida Keys. He had dementia and she killed them both when they got there.

We canceled a trip to Morocco a couple of years ago. Too dangerous for US citizens due to unrest and terrorism. We have been to Turkey including Istanbul twice between bombings. It really was a fabulous country, but I wouldn’t return. We also had to cancel a trip to Japan in October. The only safe place where I’d love to visit is Antarctica, but not until the pandemic is long gone.

My eldest daughter went to Morocco 2 years ago. She even took a guided tour to the desert on camel´s back. Welcome to the Chilean Antarctica when this is over. There are many interesting places before you reach the Beautiful Torres de Paine. I am not very much interested in Japan.

@DianneN I know. My friends say that guided tours are better. But still we don´t know. And now, there´s no safety anywhere except in your own house.

@marguicha I have the most fantastic journeys in my imagination! In reality I'd love to go to: Armenia to watch the sunrise over Mount Ararat. Paris to eat again and again in 'Au Tramway', Avenue Daumesnil Siracusa to eat cannoli and drink perfect espresso in a cafe in the Piazza del Duomo early in the morning Turin to drink coffee in Caffe Roberto in winter Agra to sit and watch the Taj Mahal at midnight when the moon shines on the dome and everyone else is in bed Athens Algiers the list goes on, but in July I'll be content to get up to Donegall with its empty beaches and total silence.

Lists always tend to grow as supermarket lists. I want to go to many of the places in South America I didn´t go to because they were closer and I could go any minute, it seemed.

@marguicha I would love to go to South America but there is no way I could sit on a plane for that long, not in economy class.

Oh this is a real question for me now. I was planning to go with my boyfriend in July in Greece to an island. In September, I planned to travel to another destination. The options are in Germany to visit a friend, in Greece again or in Israel but only if I get a job soon.

I would go to Monte Carlo, I have a sudden nostalgia of the place where we lived 31 years, the Mediterranean sea, the small French Bistrots. Will I go there again one day?

@marguicha With my husband, we talk more and more of the nice restaurants where we used to go. Our daily walk along the beach. We had our daily routine there, we were young and happy.

I would probably prefer Atlantic City now because there is less distances to walk. And Disney is out of the question.

I love travelling. There is a long list of places that I go in my dreams. I have actually been to a few in real life but still the list is too long and one life time is too short for it. My travel plan for this year was cancelled due to the pandemic.

Any volcano that is active currently, but especially Sakurajima because of my friends there. I volunteer there in my vacations. I would also like to visit Kuchinoerabujima but it is at level 3 and far from the mainland of Kyushu, so maybe not. Too bad we can't even travel among prefectures unless they are in our area. (My area includes Tokyo and six surrounding prefectures). Well, at least I can see Mt. Fuji from here.
