Yeah, so about my hair...

People of mylot have spoken, and well, here's my hair. BUT before you say anything. I did put the hair dye all over my hair I did leave it on for forty minutes, ten minutes past what I was supposed to. The last time I dyed my hair blonde, it had a lot more red in it. This time, my hair was back to it's natural color, so this is all it could really cover. If you look at the bottom right you'll see my natural color poking through. I've decided I am going to just dye it the rose quartz color in a few weeks and see how it does. Red usually does a lot better in my hair anyway. I just wanted to do the blonde because I thought it would help make the rose color lighter.. Yeah, so... It's my hair and I'll cry I want to? What do you think?

It’s good that you could do it yourself. I’ve never colored my hair and would be clueless.

I was clueless the first time I did it myself, but then I started coloring it every month. It's been years since I've done it, and I'm using a different product so I'm sure that had something to do with it.

I have never colored my hair and probably never will.

I'm not a fan of my natural hair color as it reminds me too much of my father. That's one reason why I usually dye it.

I usually wait for 1 hour before rinsing it. I don`t know if your hair color can be more effective when you left it for an hour but it`s ok

I used to leave it in for an hour as well, and maybe I should have left this one for a full hour. I will probably leave the rose quartz color in for an hour when i do it.

Yeah, I will probably take another photo before I dye it the rose color and post it here. I'm in pajamas at the moment, and that combined with the angle I had to tilt my head for you to see..

I think it looks OK. I used to dye my hair medium brown. My hair is more of a dark brown. I'm so glad I don't have to dye it anymore! I stopped as soon as I retired.

It's not all over my head, that's the main issue. The last time, when I dyed my hair blonde, it had been a red color. It was my natural brown/brunette when I dyed it today. I'm sure the rose quartz will look better in my hair, so I'll just wait a few weeks and do it.

@LindaOHio I'm excited! I am sure it will be darker in my hair, but I hope it still shows the almost pink brilliance of it.

I feel like my natural brown is too mossy. Have you been going lighter or darker?

@CarolDM Ah. Darker is a lot easier to accomplish.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Cool. I have only done red once I liked it but don’t think I will be doing it again.

@Tina30219 Boyfriend didn't like it? Or was it just too much upkeep with red?

That was my intention, atleast. I am sure it will be lighter around the areas that the blonde is in. I don't anticipate the same result with the rose quartz as I had with the blonde. Red colors take to my brown/brunette hair very well.

Meh, I'm over it. The read I put on after this is already fading... I need to cut my hair and re-dye it.

The only problem is that it isn't completely covered. It was only meant to be like a "bleach" at least. I'll color my hair rose gold in a few weeks.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I keep my natural now, there are some silver mixed to the blonde and dark blonde, but it's fine, it is such a pain to dye the hair.

@LadyDuck That is why I made sure I dyed it while my hair was still short. It is easier to cover. When my hair was long, I had to use to hair kits.

It doesn't cover my whole hewad, which is what I don't like. It just covers the crown mostly. Oh well, as long as the rose quartz does better...

The dye job isn't bad at all. Most ladies are wearing their hair three tones of color, which actually looks nice! I wouldn't dye it over again.

I was going to dye it over again either way. Blonde first (to lighten it - act as a bleach) and then the rose quartz in a couple of weeks.

I like the hair color on the photo. I have been dyeing my hair for a long time now but I'd like to give my hair a break that it needs. It's becoming dull and dry.

I used to dye my hair nearly every month and it would break a lot. I haven't dyed my hair in about a year or more.

Thank you, that is nice of you. It doesn't cover my full head though. It looks more like highlights, with a concentrated amount of the dye on my roots. I made sure I got all of my head though, I think I must have put too much towards the roots.

It's a little hard to tell in this picture--I have blonde hair moving into white--when it is all white, I want to put purple on the tips--we'll see how that goes

There's really not a lot of color. The picture is so close because that's about the only patch that did turn blonde. It's on the crown on my head, and somewhat further down, but nowhere near what it should be. I have the habit of over saturating the crown of my head, but this time I made sure that the dye was all over my hair. Guess it didn't matter in the end.

I haven't had red hair in years. I dyed the blonde over my brown, so that when I used this particular red (rose quartz, so red but with lots of pink undertones) it would do better. I shouldnt have bothered with the blonde.

I think i should have just put it on my hair, and not tried to lighten it with the blonde dye first. Oh well. I'm pretty sure you are right, the rose quartz will do better on my hair.
