Quarantine Pass

May 6, 2020 12:59am CST
Today we received our new ECQ Pass. This time, we were told that Senior Citizen's are not allowed anymore to go out. This new pass is now under my nieces name and mine. Still, we are not allowed to go out together but only one person at a time per pass. I don't mind having this pass, this is so helpful as it limits the people from going out and spreading the virus everywhere. Even if we want to go out, we just can't and so we do our market only once in a week and buy everything for the whole week. In our place, the people in the barangay can easily see us because the camera of their cctv is facing us. I just pray and wish this pandemic will end very soon, I wanna go back to work too.

How is it if a senior is living alone or with his wife who is also a senior? They can die of hunger, you know.

@Softncuddly that is silly - to market for the seniors huh. It is just loose talk and they cannot do it for sure.

We also are seniors and were not allowed to go out during three weeks. The local Mayor appointed volunteers who came to our home to buy grocery for us.

@Softncuddly The Mayor sent us the full list of all those who volunteered to go shopping for the seniors, I choose the one who lived closer to me. I was really embarrassed asking, but we are only two seniors at home, we had no choice.

@LadyDuck, that's ok to ask help if really needed. I would even volunteer if it was possible. Always keep safe and keep out from danger.

That's nice. Here our official's offered help to our seniors too but haven't tried asking because they feel awkward asking somebody to do things for them. Keep safe and take care!

I'm glad they are taking precautions to keep you safe. I hope it ends soon too, but all indications are it will be around for a while longer yet.

True Valerie, we are all praying that it ends soon so we can go back to our normal lives. It will stay longer if everyone insists on going out and not taking precautionary measures. We need to keep ourselves safe and also all our frontliners. Keep safe and take care!

@iniaku , the officials suggested that too, but it's too embarrassing to ask especially in our neighborhood they rarely go out.

We are allowed out to shop and to appointments and things are gradually returning to normal here in Australia.

By Sophie Heloizee @Softncuddly Thank you for showing your pass to us. I am glad you and your niece can go out but sad you can go out together at the same time. That is a good idea then to have it. Does it expire? I am with you and hope it will end soon and go away and never come back and give us time to heal.
