We've had no internet today

We’ve been without internet all day today and now that it’s getting near bedtime, suddenly we’re connected again. Well, better late than never I guess. We had a lady come out today and she wants Vince to take some special photos of bags of native tree nuts and seed pods that she sells. The photos are for advertising photos. The nuts are in plastic bags which are hard to photograph because of the glare that appears in the photos. I wouldn’t thought there would have been much of a market for the nuts but some buy them to take back to their home countries as gifts; others buy them for craft work. I’ve spent most of the day reading as my back is really bad today for some reason. I just about had to lasso my feet to get my socks on but it’s cold here and I needed socks. I’ll have a lot of catching up to do here tomorrow but that’s okay. Hope everyone is well. Edit: The pods and nuts do not contain seeds or, at most, maybe one or two errant seeds.

Those bags look nice, I never dare to bring seed pods from other countries, I know it is strictly forbidden.

@topffer I can bring nuts from Italy (or the UE) to Switzerland but NOT seeds, nor living plants and flowers... of course I never did, I never brought lily of the valley bulbs and wild cyclamens bulbs from France or Italy.

@JudyEv I guess people put them in decorative bowls . . . I've seen scented ones too. What a neat business to have! Oh the internet is such a yin and yang kind of thing, isn't it . . . it's done us all good and bad .

Yes, they are just decorative, not edible. All the actual seeds have been removed. Haha - we do get used to our internet, don't we?

Sorry you were without the internet all day. You will make up for it tomorrow! I wasn't on much today. I did this, that and the other and kept fairly busy. That will be a taxing little job to take those photographs with the packaging, but I know your hubby will figure it out!!

He has sent off two for her to look at. She appreciates that it may be very difficult to get really good photos. They might end up taking the products out of the packets and displaying them in front.

Those seeds and pods look intriguing as I wonder what the grown plant will look like- And sorry about your back- I have a lumbar problem and have had it for quite a long time. Herniated disk- so I have to be so careful and can't lift much. Get better soon!

Thanks. Mostly my back comes good after a day or two but it's taking it's time this time. Mostly the grown plants are just eucalyptus or melaleucas. The pod from this banksia would be packaged on its own as it's quite big.

@JudyEv That sounds like they all would be good for a cold--- and the eucalyptus oil you can actually add to the tea tree with a carrier oil and rub on your back! Hope it gets better.

@JudyEv That for me would be very hard. I depend on the internet in order to work. Right now does she still have business during this crisis? I am sorry about your back. I hope you are ok now.

Many of us depend on the internet. The lady's business is down at the moment because there are very few tourists.

A lot of the nuts are from various eucalyptus trees. The bags are tough but hard to photograph nicely.

Thanks for the good wishes. The jeans I'm wearing are a bit big and I have a heat pack stuffed down them and sitting on my hip which is where the pain is at the moment.

We also had no internet here for last 2 days. There was fibre cut some where and it took them 2 days to rectify it. I can manage without my broadband with my mobile data. But it's a problem for ordering the material for shop.
