I heard from my neighbour next door that a lady down the road wants to have a street party on Friday. As yet I am not sure who knows about this but the idea is that we take out seats and food and sit on the edge of our drives so that we can wave and shout at out neighbours...obviously at this time we can not get much closer.... Not sure how this will work or how many will join in ...but it got me wondering ...would you join in with an activity like this ? if yes or no , can you tell me why ? thank you stay safe x

If social distancing is maintained, that sounds OK. It would be little different - apart from the duration - from the Thursday night applause sessions.

Yes, I think I would. It is like the people singing etc. from their porches. My own food, my own chair, my own yard. I could do it safely.

I've seen that some friends and family of ours have done this. It worked for them as they are able to do all of the social distancing - plenty of space in their front gardens and driveways. I wouldn't do it because there isn't the space around where I live. I'm not sure I'd join in with a street party anyway. I mean, in general or at any other time. It's just not something that appeals to me - that kind of socialising is too much effort!

If I have the chance,I would. But I'll wear a mask and keep social distance with people.I think it's safe.

Far as I understand it, the CoViD-19 is highly contagious. Far as I know, too, there are such illnesses as claustrophobia and cabin fever. Given the choice, I will be more afraid of the highly contagious. So, no, the street party could wait a more while.

I think that is happening here quite a bit - street parties and also street barbecues with everyone doing their own thing. I would join in and support whoever is trying to bring a bit of enjoyment to the street.

No. It`s hard to maintain the social distancing with so much crowd

It might be safe if each one kept the social distance. I would not go.

Maybe I would. Depends how much I know my neighbours.
