RANTING: Career Strikes Going to Sydney, BUT...

...I cannot. I was offered to work as a Commissioning Manager in Sydney. It is what I am waiting for. An opportunity to work with the non-government organization (NGO) again. With a coronavirus situation, it is not the right time. I am feeling so bad that I need to let this opportunity fly for now. I am walking away from my dream job. Did you ever experience this? How can you handle this situation? Image Credit: static1.squarespace.com

@Shavkat The pandemic is upon us. The coronavirus is everywhere. Sydney, however, has taken the measure to combat this pandemic. New Zealand has open its doors to Australia again. Gear up and go.

@eileenleyva I agree. I guess I need to be more patient to have the right path for me. For now, I will be a mylotter.

It seems that I can't, my friend. I don't want to risk my life due to coronavirus.

I'm sorry, Shavkat... but I think you need to think of this in a different way... Instead of being sad you walked away from a job you know you'd love, remember, you could be carried away in a casket, instead. (Yes, I'm not always the nicest person you will ever meet, but I dare to hope I am the one who gives you the best advice. )

I agree with you. It is my biggest concern not to die young.

@DaddyEvil I will be a zombie if it happens. If it happens, my hair is falling without any effort.

@Shavkat Oh, no! If I'm forced to "bring you back", you can be sure you will be fully alive when I do. If I am going to kill you, I want you to be able to feel pain and understand why I'm killing you!

@hereandthere I emailed her back about this concern. She did not respond yet. I am sure she had second thoughts about it.

That's a great shame. Can the position not be kept for you for a few months until flights are available again?

I am not sure. It seems the job position is urgent since it is focusing more on the healthcare system.

Why can“t you go? Maybe the job in Australia can wait until there is a flight.

My concern is that coronavirus is not clear yet. I cannot risk my life to pursue it.

@Shavkat I am sorry. Will the job be open after all this is done? If they gave you a deadline are there planes flying in and out of our country? I thought planes were not flying now so you could not go if you wanted to or could you?

In my country, it is allowed to go out. But I cannot go back if it happens. It needs clearance of this virus.

I am also thinking it is not the right time. Perhaps if this coronavirus is all gone, which I wish for it. Now, I just need to let it go.
