Friday's Wasted Efforts

Friday was my day to run errands. We had rain that I thought was coming in mid afternoon or later but we woke up to rain at 7 am on Friday morning. My errands were to go to our bank, pick up my mom's prescriptions that her primary doctor had send in week before, go by our house in LA and check on things and to the post office in LA to get our mail out of the box. It was storming so bad that the only thing that got done and that wasn't a win-win was make the pharmacy. They said they only got two prescriptions from the doctor and she could only get one today because time wasn't up on the other one. I asked when it would be ready to be picked up and they said Monday. This is a private owned business and not a corporate CVS, etc. They should have given her the prescription and run through on Monday. Solved. No biggie. But no...they couldn't do that and they couldn't give her 3-5 pills to tide her over. So Monday I get to call the doctor's office to get them to call in the 3rd medication. Hopefully, I'll be able to get the #2 medication but I'll probably get another story on Monday. I did get the mail and check on they house. But the bank will have to wait.
