Pets during the lockdown

Our vet advised us to check on our pets for signs of boredom. Not just on the lockdown but also due to the extreme heat. Our dogs are confined in the living room with the AC the whole day although they go out when nature calls. What we do is to take a joy ride at least once a day so that our dogs will not get bored.

Your animals have no problem because you are in the rural area and I guess you are not affected of the lockdown and the summer heat as well.

@Alexandoy No heat yet. Hopefully soon. But I have their outside run where it gets lots of shade in the summer so they can still play outside.

Wow that is pretty cool for them to have them go out in a joy ride. As far as I know they are quite happy when you walk them around to drain their energy for the day. They usually get bored when those energy are not released out of their bodies that keeps them restless the whole day.

@Alexandoy Letting them go out in your yard may be good too. Bit normally dogs are really walking animals that is their only outlet for their pent up energy. For some petowners they have the thread mill to exercise their dogs with.

We never walk our dog outside because there are many dogs on the streets. Disease may be prevalent.

Our pets haven’t had any change in their life. We live in the country and our dog still has her yard and the cat lives inside always.

The summer heat can be harmful so the AC in the living room is running all day for our dogs.
