If anyone takes the time to get to know me they find I can be very serious which is not the persona they perceive when I first meet them. I tend to be happy and silly when I meet people so they think I'm always happy and silly.

Nothing about people surprises anymore. It's why I tell my kids, if they have something to say ... say it! It won't shock me. I'm prepared for happy surprises and prepared for sad disappointments. When I get a gift I try to act surprised. It's the best I can do.

@sofssu - Nope. When I used to say that I had 11 kids people would always react in surprise. But that's not surprising. Open book? Nah! I'm pretty sure people don't even bother to open my book.

I do not know what other people think is surprising about me, I know that I am a good listener and have a reputation of being wise. But I think that is because I listen long enough for people to find an answer to their own problems and I get the thanks lol... Pehaps that is wisdom

Is it your age? Some times generally people think I am younger than I actually am... I get asked for my ID alllllll the time. Your gender? I have a great likeness to my cousin (male) so again yes... Is it your hobbies/interests? Yeah usually they look at me (pictured) and think "Oh hey you do arts at uni right." Which is very much a nope. I did do an arts subject and HATED it. Your knowledge? Yeah especially about genetics, virology and immunology etc What is it that makes them sit up and notice you? Probably the look on my face that says I don't want to draw attention to myself... Which of course people are drawn to like a magnet.

my real dad and I had met when i was 17 years old. But we talked on the phone prior to the meeting. And he always thought i was a big lady because of my big voice. lol. he was shocked when he saw me. petite hidden talent? hmm secret. i want it to be hidden forever lol
