An evening of mystery beginning with the gardening ladies “Rosemary & Thyme.” Laura is shocked when Rosemary is found presumably dead but of course it was someone impersonating her. The victim was a young archaeologist using Rosemary’s name to gain access to a garden and digging around for something hidden. The truth does come out. A vintage episode of “Inspector Morse” found Morse and Lewis investigating the poisoning of a young woman aspiring to priesthood. This is involves a health company making dubious health pill and a gender battle between male and female religious sects over winning a prestigious Oxford chair. Our good Florida buddy Martin has seen the PBS mystery series “Baptiste” and liked it. I recorded the six episodes to have it all at hand. Watched the first two episodes. Baptiste is a retired French detective living in Amsterdam. He suffered brain surgery so walks with a limp and explains he is not the detective he was once was. A colleague on Amsterdam police calls on him to assist an Englishman find his missing niece who had become a prostitute in the red light district. There is a Romanian gang killing people and know about Baptiste seemingly five minutes after he starts investigating. Naturally nothing is as it appears and you get surprise relations in the second episode. The plot thickens! Locations are superb having been filmed on location in Amsterdam.
