Whistle Stop Nursery

Good Morning myLotters! I am up and enjoying my coffee this morning. I woke up at 5 am this morning but tried to go back to sleep. I finally got up at six and put the coffee on.
I'll be hanging around the house today. I enjoyed my day out yesterday with my daughter. She was bombarded by love when she got home and it took her until midnight to get her two kids settled down and in bed.
I didn't mention our "fun stop" yesterday on our day out. We stopped at a nursery in the same town where the flea market is located. I was disappointed that it wasn't a full blown nursery, but it was an enjoyable visit. This nursery consisted of garden vegetables, flowers, and houseplants in the outdoor area. It wasn't a large area but she had a nice assortment.
While browsing we noticed the door open and ventured inside. There we found more plants, seeds, gifts, and a pet shop. We will be bringing her kids, my grandchildren back to visit for sure. It was an odd combination, but it worked well.
I didn't purchase anything, but my daughter picked out a houseplant. The owner gave it to her and told her that was one she had been nursing back to life and maybe that would be good luck to her. She told us that she had two trucks coming this week and would have a lot more plants in. We will be visiting again really soon. My daughter has her eye on a ponytail plant that was cute and frilly. I will go back and get one for her and surprise her.
Time for another cup of coffee and to see about breakfast. I'm ready to hit the outdoors since we have rain on the way....yes, again!!

A trip to the nursery sounds like fun and I'm sure your daughter will be happy if you get her that ponytail plant.

Never heard of a pony tail plant, I have to look that up. You`re a good mom.

@m_audrey6788 I haven't had one of those in ages! They are good though. I try to stay away from fast food but Wendy's wins over McD's and Burger King, especially the route we took, that was the only choice other than fried chicken.

There's a 5 and 6 o'clock in the morning??? What's a morning??? I haven't seen any of that nonsense since January 1981 when I had my last drink!!!

That is one thing that we have in common! Her daughter loves flowers and plants just as much. She talks her grandfather into taking her to the nursery in Baton Rouge and she picks out all kinds of pretty flowers. He's learning that she means business when she goes to the nursery!
