I don’t even bother putting my wallet in my handbag anymore. I leave it out on a sofa near my computer. It comes in very handy with all the online shopping I’ve been doing. Yesterday, I ordered groceries from Instacart, not once, but twice. I completely forgot to order dairy products the first time around. Dumb blonde! Our son stopped by yesterday to gift us with bagels and cream cheese. I grabbed a fistful of cash from my wallet and thrust it upon him, when I found out he was paying for all the food he’s been buying for us with his own money! He does have our American Express Card in his name if needed, which we pay for, but not all shops accept it. Today, I am going to order some new sneakers online. I left my favorite colors in my closet in Florida, and I do like to color coordinate on my now three times a day walks outdoors. It’s another day full of sunshine here. Keeping my wallet handy sure comes in handy these days.

There are a lot of apps that won't work here @DianneN but I do use Rakutan and other such sites to increase cash back on purchases.

That’s too bad. It is only good in certain stores here and not my favorite.

I now take my id and my debit card out of my wallet when I leave for the store and leave the wallet behind--one less thing to clean and sanitize when I get home!

@DianneN I go to the store once every 2 weeks or so--it feels like a cross between hunting/gathering and guerilla warfare

@divalounger My husband did it in Florida. I dealt with the sanitizing. Still do and it’s a royal pain.

I'm the same way with my wallet. I don't even put it away anymore. It goes on the couch next to me and my laptop. For the very same reasons you said! I'm becoming quite the savvy online shopper!

Thanks! I ordered extra things so I wouldn’t have to pay a delivery fee. Penny wise and dollar foolish. I just returned from a second walk and helped hubs in the garden. One more walk to go later I only wear sneakers for walking and exercise, and a few designer brands for traveling. Unfortunately, I haven’t done much traveling for a long time.

@DianneN I use to love taking Kobe for a walk, but he's too unpredictable. If was pass someone going the other direction, he jumps all over them and he licks children's faces:( One time, a man passed by us on a bicycle and Kobe jerked away, then chased him about 1/2 mile! He embarrasses me

I've been doing more online shopping too but don't have my wallet as handy as you do We've been using Peapod for our groceries . Our new game is to secure the delivery (which is usually two weeks) fill the cart with the minimum required and then as the two weeks go by we add what we need. When the delivery comes we have at least two or three weeks of food. So far the system is working okay and keeps us out of the supermarket.

@DianneN it works well for us since we order enough to last for the two or three weeks it takes to get delivery. Hope it works for you too.

That's awesome you had cash to throw at him. I don't carry cash in my wallet unless I need to, which is rare. I do everything by debit card. I hope you found a nice pair of sneakers online.

The cash was what we had left over from Florida for tips, etc. Otherwise everything goes on the credit card for points. No, I didn’t like the colors and styles available. No big deal, since I have many I’ve never worn before. Who sees me anyway? I can not get through to you! ERRORS to Green Bay. I will try again later.

Its a great thing that your son pay for you and also give you a card. Whatever children do for their parents is always less. Its good to pay online at the moment as there were many cases here spread corona through currency.

@DianneN That is very nice of him. I would love bagels and cream cheese but I am staying as close to home as I can. Sounds like you are having fun ordering online. I do not like to order things online. My computer technician has ordered things for me because I just do not feel comfortable. The only things that have been ordered were my white noise machines from the States and my air filters for my air purifier from here. For clothes and food and other things I do that in person visiting the stores but lately I do not want to go out unless i have to even in my area.

We don’t go out at all except in our yard and walks in the neighborhood or woods. Too many covidiots running around. I do seem to have good luck shopping for food and necessities online. Clothes I do not need, but always buy them in person.

@DianneN Yes there are too many walking around. I could use so smaller size skirts for summer. My skirts seem big on me. There is a store by me that had discounts and not sure will be they have been closed and they need to make money. Their prices were good so one day I may venture out there but now I really hate going out so only do if have too.
