2005 - The tallest roller coaster in the world, Kingda Ka, opened at Six Flags in Jackson Township, New Jersey, USA.
2017 - Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus performed their final show.
1940 - Tony Sheridan was born. He is an English rock and roll singer, songwriter and guitarist. He is best known for the early collaboration with the Beatles. He is one of the two non-Beatles to receive label credit on a record with the group and the only non-Beatle to appear as lead singer on a Beatles record which charted as a single.
1952 - Mr. T was born. He is an American actor, bodyguard, TV personality and retired professional wrestler. He is known for his role on the 1980s TV series The A-Team and in the 1982 movie Rocky III. "I pity the fool..." was a famous phrase uttered by his character Clubber Lang in Rocky III.

@LindaOHio We all used a petticoat when I was a teenager, I have heard my grandmother many times asking me "Are you in search of a husband?", I immediately knew that something was showing under my skirt.
