What is this flower - please

A question for the gardeners in myLot. Can someone please tell me the name of the big flower in the middle of this bouquet? The green and purple one. I have no idea how to start searching for it on google. In other news, there was a cyclone headed for Western Australia’s northern shores but it has now been downgraded to a tropical low. It will impact on us here too. Because of the expected storm, another fire ban is in place so we’re pleased we’ve been burning leaves for the last two days. We’re expecting a week of rain on and off together with very strong winds. People are being urged to stay home as major damage is expected. Once the storm blows over, it will take several days of fine weather before the leaves will be dry enough to burn.

That flower looks familiar but what I remember is a vegetable with that kind of flower. I hope those winds won't be too strong, I really don't like wind. Perhaps it is flowering Kale??

You're right. It's flowering kale. Thanks. I was thinking it looked like a cabbage so I was on the right track.

We've had quite a bit of wind and rain but the coastal areas have been badly hit. We are half an hour inland and it seems to make all the difference. Thank you for your concern.

Yes, it's a flowering kale. I was thinking cabbage too. I looked up cabbage rose but that wasn't right.

Would either of you know if it can be grown indoors with only daylight but no direct sunlight?

@JudyEv Lol, I looked up cabbage rose too. I didn't think that was it exactly but thought it might be in that family. So flowering kale, it's really pretty.

I use my app which can identify the plants. This app tells me that this flower is called eustoma.

@judyev we are windy here too, tree branches strewn all over the roads. I used to have an app on my phone whereby I could scan a flower and its name would pop up. called Picture This.

I wanted to say cabbage rose but looked it up and it doesn't have those leaves but looks similar. It's good you got leaves burned before the fire ban. I hope everyone will be safe in the coming storm.

I thought it was rose but it is not. The smaller ones around are chrysanthemum
