Weekly Weigh In - May 16-22

Hello everyone, I am back to share my weekly weigh in/report. Starting weight (January 1, 2020): 189.4 Last week: 175.8 Today: 180.6 - So that means I am up 4.8 pounds. I know it is mostly water weight because I have been eating a lot of carbs. I know it will go down once I stop the carbs again. Steps for the week: 5/16 - 10,890 5/17- 2,518 5/18 -10,058 5/19- 8,922 5/20 - 9,063 5/21 - 4,287 5/22 - 11,509 (57,247 for the week; compared to 61,057 the last week) Calories burned & workouts for the week - 5/16 - 90 minutes/720 calories burned 5/17 - N/A 5/18 - 55 minutes/ 413 calories burned 5/19 - 60 minutes/488 calories burned 5/20 - 75 minutes/ 611 calories 5/21 - 20 minute walk/ 125 calories 5/22 - 80 minutes/ 535 calories burned (That is 2,892 calories burned through exercise during the week - for those that don't know 3,500 calories = 1 pound). I am going to continue working out (except for Saturday I may be too busy) - but for the rest of the week I want to get back to my 2 hours of working out and on Tuesday I will get back to my low carb/Keto diet. I was doing fine until a friend brought a surprise present of a delicious cake round and the half kilo I lost went back on lol....

I think it slows down a lot once you get rid of the water weight....but 10 pounds is awesome!

Losing weight is a commitment and I hate when I see the scale jump up even if it's just water weight. Keep up your hard work and determination

Yes, it definitely is! I lost 75 pounds before and gained most of it back....so it stinks having to start over again. Thank you!

Yes, I should have clarified that it is equal to a pound of fat...but still. So in theory to lose 1 pound of fat you should burn 3,500 calories. Of course other factors come into play so it is not always that simple. Glad that you have been doing well!

I preferred the 5 pound loss over the 5 pound gain! haha. But yes it should since it is mostly water weight.

Once you get back on track, your weight will drop. I did OK. No snacking.

Yes, I will....hoping the work outs continuing would make the spike not so high though! Glad you did okay. No snacking is good

I have stopped doing exercise because I am not in the mood. LOL. And I have been stress-eating lately.

I feel you must reduce the carb and increase protein and fruits if you want to reduce weight.

@jayanth_77 I don't eat vegetables either. I don't like them. Plus most fruits are not low carb.
