It is cold, some drops are falling and I´m depressed.

Good morning, friends.
In these times, I want to tell you that mylot has been a big source of happiness for me.
I have been alone for over 2 months now. I am blessed: I can order food online and I have money to pay for it. There are many people in my country and elsewhere who don´t have money to buy food. And although loneliness is terrible, overcrowding (a product of poverty specially in cities) is worse. That implies more infection and a lot of violence.
Writing all this has helped me. I am counting my blessings. I talked to my eldest daughter this morning and she told me that I´d better learn how to cope with the new normality. I was angry. I don´t have the age to learn anything, much less to live in a new normality.
I´ll be with you then. See you

I don´t want to learn a new normality. I am sure that there are better things to learn.

Sometimes it isn't about what anyone wants @marguicha this pandemic has changed everything the world over and we either sink or swim with it.

It's a tough time these days and I feel bad that your lonely. I'm so grateful that I have my daughter living with me so that I can talk to another human. I probably would be depressed too if I was alone.
At least we can come here and talk even if it's only through the computer.

I talk by phone with family and friends. But sometimes I wake up in a bad mood.

Aye, learning new stuff is harder as we get older.
A new normality will take a lot of getting used to.
Depression is not nice, Ive been there too often.

@JimBo452020 I agree. But I think that I should change my readings, even go back to books I read a long time ago. I need to go into a cocoon so that I don´t go into a depression that can only hurt me.

Yes, being on mylot and being active in various discussions does helps. May be your eldest daughter said things in a positive way, and do not take it otherwise.
May be you can start extra reading on things like Gardening, or may be some new novels or short stories, or may be something that interests you.

I hope you will feel better whenever you write about it. I'm keeping a journal myself to empty my negative thoughts.
