Bumble Bees Have Arrived in my Yard

Woke up to sunshine today. Hot and humid but a slight breeze. Enjoyed coffee earlier in the screen room.
A few phone calls. Will talk about that later perhaps. Went out in the yard to get lost in nature. It worked. My mind was as one in the plants, blooms, birds and bees.
The golden privet I talked about a few days ago now has visitors. Bumble bees are here. They are really pretty bees. They will not hurt you if you respect them.
I stand still until they see I am not a threat. Then I take photos as they enjoy the sweet nectar. I was surrounded by bees and the smell of the privet. Would not want to be anywhere else right now.

That's a great closeup of the bee. You should have told him to say cheese

Bumble bees seem to dislike me. I get along with wasps and honey bees. I am always happiest outside.

@jayanth_77 Yes I am, another rewarding experience in nature. I always talk about the little things in life. That one is actually pretty big. Thanks for reminding me.

@CarolDM Great. You are helping the bees to collect nectar and feed their young ones. That's a noble gesture. The plants are also benefitted as the bees pollinate these flowers.

I have seen a few bumble bees this year, and although I used not to like them, since bees are threatened now, I am glad to see them. The carpenter bees are the ones I hate.

Back in Latvia, we had a lot of bumblebees in the garden and I enjoyed watching them go on all the flowers
