My mother's hostess gifts

She never just shows up somewhere with the dish she was asked to bring. Nope. Not her. I was lucky today to not get more hand or kitchen towels because I could use each one I have as toilet paper and then dispose of it and I'd be good for like 3-4 months. Today's offerings were a big bottle of hand sanitizer, dark roast Trader Joe's K-cups, and hair dye. Well I could have done without the K-cups since I'm still dealing with the ginormous box of them that she gave me on Thanksgiving. I don't have coffee regularly each morning these days now that life is turned so upside down. This is my life. I am not exaggerating one iota of it.

That made me smile. She's a mom! Just doing what loving moms do. Besides, it's like when you send them to the store for a couple of items; and they bring you back the store.
