Time to show up

We got up, got around, and went to church this morning. Large sanctuary, about twenty in attendance. Good to be back in person.
We all know this is the last day of the month of May. I would think it would be pretty busy on the lot.
I feel stressed as my daughter and her family live in a Minneapolis suburb.
Tomorrow, I see the eye doctor, at eleven. Bob says he is going with me. Just to get up and out of the house.
I have three or four important phone calls to make before that. Guess I should make a list.
I just did a neat trick.
I opened a bottle of grape juice for us to drink. It has been on the shelf. It is not cold.
So far I have not made ice this year, but I had frozen mixed berries. Plop them in the juice for a fruity cool drink. Hopefully it gives me some energy.
Have a good, restful afternoon. That is what we will do.

I have only communicated with her by text so far. She is in a non commercial area, but some of her regular shopping stores have closed for the time being. It feels like a huge evil force is behind this. The actual protesters are not violent, but there is sort of an underground group doing the damage and being violent hoping that the protesters will be blamed.

@GardenGerty I can understand that the situation would be quite complex.

I’ve noticed that people aren’t in a rush to get back to big crowds, and I can understand that. Hope your eye appointment goes well!

Some people are not in a rush. Others act like it never happened.

I'm glad you got out to church. I did too this morning. It was so good to see people again and hug. Yes, we hugged.
I hope your daughter will be safe.
I hope all goes well with the eye doctor.
I've heard of using frozen fruit to chill drinks.

We did not hug, except air hugs. One online expert list says going to church is dangerous for a few reasons. One is that it is indoors, two is because you stay there longer and three is because singing causes you to expel droplets more and breathing deeply makes you take them further into the lungs. We are so socially distant in our sanctuary that we sing anyway. For me it is an essential part of the service.

@GardenGerty There was only one couple that didn't hug but only did the wave. I know it can be dangerous and I hope our getting back to church yesterday won't prove troublesome. They took out rows of chairs to keep the social distancing aspect. Though it's doubtful anyone really social distanced yesterday. Everyone was so happy to see people again.

It felt kind of luxurious, to tell the truth.
