Rocking my state

United States
June 1, 2020 12:30pm CST
I weeded my flowerbed this morning and found a rock I forgot about, it's a rock in the shape of my state. This was a rare find, I can't remember where we found it, but I like to collect unusual rocks and this is one of my favorites. Another interesting fact is, my husband has a mole in this shape, but he wasn't born in this state. Can you guess what state this is? Do you have something that is naturally looks like your state? NOTE: THE PREVIOUS PHOTO WAS REVERSED, I HAVE CORRECTED THAT. I never realized the rock I have is reversed of my state, so now that I have flipped it, it should be easier tom identify.

I know where you live, so I feel like I would be cheating. My niece loves to collect unusual rocks, and she found one she swears looks like Florida, and was so excited.

@Carmelanirel2 She keeps them oddly, in her piggy bank. I haven't seen it myself, but she gets excited about that, so I try to as well.

@AmbiePam So she doesn't collect bug rocks then, unless she's got a huge piggy bank. lol Did you noticed the photo is reversed? I didn't catch that, which is why no one guessed until owlwings pointed it out.

Aww, that is so sweet of you to be honest like that. So, do you think your niece's rock looks like Florida? Does she have a place to show it off?

I will have to look back at my posts, but in about 6 years ago I took a geology class field trip with my daughter. It was really fun, we got to go out and dig for rocks and fossils. However, that isn't where this rock came from, I don't remember.

I am reminded of a continent or a state that takes shape like your rock. Can you recall one?

It doesn't look like any continent or a state in the United States. Maybe a state in another country?
