One of the things that I miss since the lock down was the availability of street food. During 2020 B.C. (Before CoViD-19), I remember, I would have regularly have a street food extravaganza . Not the healthiest, cleanest, or classiest food around but definitely the best tasting grub for me when I want a quick fix before going home. There is the roadside stall that I frequent. It sells pork barbeque, pork and chicken intestines, curdled blood, pig ears, pig cheeks, chicken head, and chicken feet. Everything is grilled and then dipped in spicy vinegar with chopped chili and onions. Of course, the unique names of each skewered delight adds to its appeal. The curdled blood because of its rectangular shape is called betamax . The chicken head is called helmet and the chicken feet is called adidas . The intestines are called isaw . The pig ears and cheeks are called tenga and pisngi respectively which are just the local words for those body parts. For less than $1, I can have 2-3 sticks of these delectable and delicious street foods. What makes up your street food extravaganza?

I'd rather stay at home honestly. I only go out on weekends when it is time to do groceries and run errands.

@allen0187 So far I have stayed as close to home as I can. I also prefer staying home too. I hate going out and dodging those that do not wear masks or social distance.

My favorite is chicken-skin. My friend and I nicknamed it 'Cholesterol (on-stick)' hehehe.

Chicken skin, I don't have that often as it is high in cholesterol like what you wrote.

I'm sorry you haven't had any street food in a while. It's been a long time since I saw a street vendor.

Lockdown has been lifted. There are some stalls selling street food but not as much as before the pandemic struck.

I am very sorry for myself that I can't eat street food because of my dust allergy. How I wish I can.

@allen0187 I'm not into spicy foods and my stomach tends to get upset a bit easily - which isn't what you want if you're travelling.

my son would but sticks of isaw and pork barbecue for his ''ulam'' for our meal. i often tell him to eat the barbecue with rice, and not eat them solo.

@allen0187 i always tell my son to eat the pork barbecue as 'ulm'. i discourage him to eat the BBQ solo because i know for a fact that there may be carcinogens due to the manner of preparing and cooking the food.
