Pinched nerve

I think it's because I'm sitting in front of a computer teaching instead of standing in front of kids teaching, but my neck now has a pinched nerve with pain running down my shoulder. I looked up what Bob & Brad, two physical therapists on YouTube, had to say about exercises and stretches. Tried them and they did help some, but I decided I really needed to go to my physical therapist. I hadn't been in over a year. He was quite happy to see me, because there are not as many patients because of coronavirus. I was a little nervous too, but I went and they are obviously keeping a very very clean office. So, he worked me over for 30 minutes. Wow, did that hurt but feel good! Since I haven't been for a year, I got a coupon for half price for the next two visits, and I'm sure I'm going to need them. (Full price is 600 yen for 15 minutes and half price is 600 yen for 30 minutes). They are part of national health insurance so they are really cheap, much cheaper than a chiropracter who is about 3000 yen for 30 minutes if you're lucky. Anyway, I hope this nerve stops hurting soon. I think the massage helped me a lot and my entire back was really stiff when he started, too. Bob and Brad's stretches: Do you ever go to physical therapists or chiropracters?

It's good you were able to get some relief. I haven't been to a chiropractor for ages.

@petatonicsca That is horrible. You must be in a lot of pain. Good idea to go to your own physical therapist. That is great that you got a coupon for half price for the next two visits. My physical therapists are private so expensive. I am glad they are part of the health fund and cheap. I went to a chiropractor in the States but have physical therapists here in Israel. I hope the physical therapist gave you exercises to do at home.

I've been to both for a bad back and in both cases they helped. Especially, initially when I was in such acute pain and could hardly move. Glad it helped you. Stretching out and massaging those muscles even on your own can work wonders
