Accident with the saw

The saw is not the past tense of see, it is a tool for cutting wood. I used the saw to cut the excess branch of the cashew tree. I don't know what happened but the saw landed on my arm, wahuhuhu. It was bleeding profusely so I got a guava leaf, chewed it and applied it on the wound,. The bleeding stopped at once.

Since I was a boy, I have known that young guava leaves are coagulant agent that stops bleeding.

@Alexandoy Hope you are alright. Do not compromise on your safety . Ask for help while using tools as you could get injured. Chewing guava leaves and applying on the wound to stop blood is unheard of. Does it really work .

Yes, the young guava leaves are good for stopping blood. In fact, it was used in the olden times when boys were circumcised.

@jayanth_77 if you will notice in the picture, the would is superficial only. That means only on the outer epidermis or skin.

@eileenleyva guava leaf is for stopping the bleeding. It can even be used for tooth extraction when the wound keeps on bleeding.

Ouch. I am not so good with a saw so these days I ask one of the young men to do these things for me. I'm ok as long as I can cut a branch with scissors.! Hope you feel better soon!

@LowRiderX actually I was like caught by surprise when the saw slipped from the branch.Accidents can happen no matter how careful you are. What's needed is focus all the time.

The use of guava leaves to stop the bleeding is in our culture. Old folks know that. With the wound, it has healed fast due to the guava leaf and it looks just like a scratch now.

Oh, what a sad I heard from you. Try to use also the "Boyo-boyo" , it is a herbal plant also that use for medicine to any wounds. Also the malunggay vegetable can be also use to stop bleeding, and the guava leaves.

It was painful because it was bleeding. But after sometime that the bleeding had stopped, there was no more pain.
