Moving Into Stage 4

Our state is moving into stage 4 of reopening, which means all businesses can open if they can follow the guidelines. The governor said we almost didn't make It to stage 4, but we did in the end of the discussion. That will start on Saturday. Now that we are in stage 4 soon, it doesn't mean that we can't go back to stage 1 if needed. How about your state, or wherever you live? We have a little over 3300 cases Over 2600 recovered And thankfully only 86 deaths....although any death is awful...but it could be a lot worse.

My part of Florida is open already and people are returning to the beach. However, businesses like restaurants and bars are having problems because people cannot make up their minds if they want to go or not and others are afraid of sitting too close to anyone

I personally would not go to a place right now where there is a lot of people.

That's good that your area of Florida is open....but that is understandable. Here they have most restaurants opened, just have every other table closed.

I hope the transition to stage four goes smoothly. Baltimore City is still in phase one; the rest of the state is in stage two. I don't think stage three is even a thought right now, but we don't need to rush it. I'm not sure if MD has a stage four, or if stage three is the last one.

@MommyOfEli2013 I hope it's been going smoothly. We're in stage two now. :) But masks and social distancing are still mandatory, which is fine by me. It's better than nothing being open and/or everyone being unsafe. It'll probably be quite a while before we can get to stage three, which would be concerts, sports, etc.

We barely were able to move into stage 4, but it happened. Now all businesses can open if they can follow the distancing and such. Well I am glad you are in phase one, at least....but still sorry it is going so slow. I understand being safe and everything though. And I don't follow other states stages, so couldn't say either! Lol

@tammys85 Thank you, we've been in stage 4 for a week now. Masks have never been mandatory here - well except in certain places ~ like doctors offices, or hair salons...etc. But to go to the store they just say they are recommended. That's great you are in stage two now...at least you are progressing :) And that is true it is better than nothing being open, and such. Is 3 your last stage then? My town is having concerts for the week of the 4th of July like normal - well it won't be exactly normal though lol

We've gone to general community quarantine but it continues to be a $hit$how here in the country with how inept this government is handling this crisis.

I'm not sure of the phase we are in right now. It's either 3 or 4.

@MommyOfEli2013 I really don't know. The news had gotten to where it was so depressing, so I stopped watching it for a while.

Wow--where are you located? There are some states that in my understanding are preventing any moving backward in the stages if the numbers increase--I have heard that but need to research it more--

Idaho....actually I'm not sure if he'd move us back now, but the governor mentioned something early on. Maybe it was more that we'd stay at a certain stage longer if cases got out of hand.

@MommyOfEli2013 I am not sure of Idaho's numbers and plan--but I suspect because you are less densely populated, that opening will be easier in some respects

@divalounger well i shared the numbers in my post. But yes, I think that's true on why we opened pretty early and are already in the final stage.

Not doing that good here. Only a few places are on Stage 2 with a lot of restrictions.

Sorry to hear that, that's awful. Not sure how big your area is, my whole state only has 1.7 million.

I'm in the UK in the county of Worcestershire. Most non essential shops are still closed. Gyms/cinemas/swimming pools etc closed. As of 9th June we have over 250 deaths so we are pretty lucky compared to some places. In the UK as a whole I think we have 50,000+ deaths and apparently we are the worst performing country in Europe. For me personally I'll wait a year or so until investigations are done and how figures are reported are understood.

Oh wow, still closed there? It's understandable though. 250 deaths is not horrible, when many other places are in the thousands + 50,000 + is a lot though for sure! A year sounds like a long time, but I can understand why

I don't know what stage we are in; but the restaurants, beauty salons, etc. are open with restrictions.
