bamboo in my village

Bamboo trees are generally planted on the edge of a river or cliff to prevent landslides, because my village is in the highlands. bamboo trees will flourish easily, from 1 stem will become 1 clump in a few years, without maintenance. Bamboo has saved my villages from storm and strong winds in rainy season.

I remember being very surprised at the size and strength of the bamboo we saw growing in Thailand. We have bamboo here but isn't normally so strong.

Bamboo is an important plant in my country. There is a new bamboo park in my city but I haven't been there yet. I saw some photos about it and it is beautiful.

@nawala123 In fact pandas are quite picky. It seems that they only eat a kind of particular bamboo, especially from Sichuan Province. I think probably this is why they are in danger since they are picky eaters.
