June 12 - What I'm Thankful for Today

I'm thankful for today. It was perfect. The weather was hoodie cool, the pool was perfect, and my dinner party was awesome. I'm thankful I spent an hour in the pool today. No one was in a hurry to get in at 5:45 so we could swim longer. I'm thankful for the cool weather. You know me. I love winter so temps in the 50s today felt great. I'm thankful for the dinner party. I started getting it ready at 9 this morning. I also needed to go to Wal-Mart one last time. I needed glasses for the lemonade. I also got a nice picture to go with it, an egg slicer that worked perfectly for slicing strawberries, pastry brushes which I needed for the salmon and asparagus. The menu was baked salmon - turned out perfect, roasted potatoes, roasted asparagus, and fruit trifle. My homemade lemonade turned out perfect. I found a nice manual juicer at Wal-Mart yesterday. Everything turned out perfect. Pastor Jonnie and Linda both said it was perfect. They said it couldn't be more perfect. Yes, my head was big with all the praise. They arrived early, before everything was finished, and stayed late and helped with the cleanup. The dishes are running through the dishwasher as I write this. I almost forgot Linda brought a salad that went perfectly with the meal. It couldn't be a more perfect day. I'm so blessed. I even got in all my fitness goals while getting the meal prepared. Now, I need to calculate the calories. I don't expect it to be too bad. I only had breakfast other than the dinner party. That was my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading.
