Rock Titles Not in the Songs: Bohemian Rhapsody (#12)

I can’t let a country song hang out there by itself to choke my loyal reader (singular intentional ), so I’ll do two a day. Hopefully, if you’re not too sick of this song, it’ll cure whatever headache you got from the country song. Here’s probably the best example of a song with the title not mentioned anywhere in the lyrics. #12: Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen I remember Casey Kasem playing this on American Top 40 one week and claiming the song had “everything but the kitchen sink” in it. He was wrong: it has everything but the kitchen sink AND the title! Given that I don’t listen to classic rock, I don’t hear this 84 times a day, so I’m not sick of it. I’m also old enough to have bought the 45 when it came out in 1975. Not my personal favorite Queen song (I’m more a “Sleeping on the Sidewalk” person), but it’s definitely one of the best-known songs in Queen’s career.
