I have been here for sometime now reading the new discussions, responding to them and knocking off the notifications. It has been almost 40 minutes here and now it is 12:40. I need to get up and cook rice. The side dishes are ready. i cooked them when I made my breakfast. I try to finish them in morning along with breakfast cooking so that I have no rush after my online classes are over.
Today I could not come here as soon as my online sessions were over. I felt a bit stiff sitting with laptop for two hours at a stretch. So I took a break. Went on my terrace to put the clothes on clothesline and had a refreshing glass of lime water. I enjoyed the fresh air for a while and that made me feel better.
. The weather is gorgeous here
Now it is time to get the lunch ready. My children will have a unch break in some time.
See you later.

My students are autistic and the parents have to assist them. Online session is the only choice and they are slowly learning to cope.

@allen0187 Ivy gourd is another green vegetable belonging to gourd family. Sambhar is a South Indian dish. It's spicy pulse with veggies and it's a bit sour as tamarind pulp is added to it.

Yes, it's tough to be here and focus when other thoughts preoccupy your mind. I didn't come here yesterday in later half of the day though I had time. I wanted to stay offline.

Funny you mention, I'm just about to get up and cook some rice. What kind of classes online are you doing?

@arunima25 I have just figured out how to make fried rice, it's lovely.
Oh what exciting work. How are your students handling the change now with online class

@FayeHazel Fried rice is delicious. My children and husband enjoy it.
My students are trying to cope up with this new challenge of online classes. These are no where close to real classes when we see the efficiency and productivity. Being special needs, the parents or care givers have to assist them. But as things are uncertain and we are not sure how long it would be till physical schools open, we have to try to do our best in the ways that we can do now.

Rice tastes better when hot. Since we all are at home due to pandemic, I cook it just before meal time.
I am a special educator and counselor with one school. I handle two students on autism spectrum. Due to this pandemic, all the school classes are going online.

@arunima25 with all the things you are doing it is great of you to be dropping by here. I sometimes get bored to do anything. Prefer playing spider solitaire on computer.

@msdivkar This place sometimes gives me a space. I feel relaxed and I come here when I have nothing much to do. Though I earn at snail pace, I still love to see those pennies.

I am not much here these days. I come here only for short time..10- 20 minutes. Though I get free time in late evening or afternoon, I am not much in mood to be online. Online classes for two hours in morning seems to be enough. And sometimes in evening, elder one comes with her doubts in Chemistry and Physics . It is a bit tough for children to clarify all their doubts in online classes.

@arunima25 I knocked them all off this morning, but here we go again! It's a good thing as long as I don't drive myself carzy.
I took the afternoon off, too. Our beautiful weather will continue through my birthday on Saturday and on Father's Day here in the US on Sunday. Then it can rain all it wants!
Enjoy!

Enjoy!1 person likes this
